Lewiston 1 Installs Officers for 2016-2017

Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 celebrated their 102nd Anniversary on Saturday April 16th 2016. The evening included the swearing in of officers, awards/recognition of members, a memorial service of members/exempt members who passed away in the past year and reports of current officers.

Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 responded to 835 calls for service in 2015 and consistently remains one of the busiest companies in Niagara County. Their members dedicated thousands of volunteer hours responding to calls, trainings and maintaining certifications reported Chief John Penzotti.

The Fire Company continued to progress in updating company policies, operations and their ever expanding Banquet Hall Rentals reported President Matthew Grainge. Grainge continued by thanking dignitaries from the Village and Town of Lewiston, Lewiston Courts, Police and Highway Dept., Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, Niagara County Emergency Management Office and neighboring Niagara County Fire Companies for their attendance and continued support.

The Chief and President recognized Upper Mountain Fire Company for their Advanced Life Support service to Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 calls.

Food was provided by JCI Catering, a preferred caterer in the Banquet Hall Rentals.
