Lewiston 1 Installs Officers for 2016-2017

Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 celebrated their 102nd Anniversary on Saturday April 16th 2016. The evening included the swearing in of officers, awards/recognition of members, a memorial service of members/exempt members who passed away in the past year and reports of current officers.

Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 responded to 835 calls for service in 2015 and consistently remains one of the busiest companies in Niagara County. Their members dedicated thousands of volunteer hours responding to calls, trainings and maintaining certifications reported Chief John Penzotti.

The Fire Company continued to progress in updating company policies, operations and their ever expanding Banquet Hall Rentals reported President Matthew Grainge. Grainge continued by thanking dignitaries from the Village and Town of Lewiston, Lewiston Courts, Police and Highway Dept., Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, Niagara County Emergency Management Office and neighboring Niagara County Fire Companies for their attendance and continued support.

The Chief and President recognized Upper Mountain Fire Company for their Advanced Life Support service to Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 calls.

Food was provided by JCI Catering, a preferred caterer in the Banquet Hall Rentals.

Thank you! 2nd Annual Wine Tasting Event

Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 would like to thank all those who came out to our 2nd Annual Wine Tasting and Food Pairing Event. It was another successful event and fundraiser! Also, thank you to JCI Catering LLC, Dianne’s Wedding & Floral Design, the participating Niagara Wine Trail Wineries, Farms and our community businesses for their participation/donations!

Elliot Shirback comes to visit Lewiston 1

You may remember the Lewiston man who got his Christmas wish this year in the form of a large quantity of Christmas cards sent from strangers…

This afternoon, we invited Elliot to come visit our station for lunch and to go on a tour of main hall.  We all had a good time with him while he tried on gear, went for a ride in the firetruck, and learned about what we do.  YNN also joined us and you can find their story at the link below:
